Personal Development Coaching, Professional Counselor Associate, MA, ACC, CPCC
It is a belief of mine that people are meant to feel energized when they are in alignment with their values. My mission is to work with people to decipher these values, rediscover their energy, and build a soul-driven life.
I specialize in working with...
Athletes who face a transition in their sport
...onset by injury, age, or a change in values. This time of transition can be intensely challenging as it can create a feeling of loss of identity. There can also be a loss of structure, community, and purpose. My work is oriented toward helping athletes shift their identity around sport and find ways to bring that same vitality and life force that they brought to sport into many other aspects of life.
People who feel stuck in undesirable patterns of self-criticism
Your brain makes great effort to protect you from many aspects of the larger world deemed dangerous in childhood. We develop narratives within our psyche that might be overly-cautious or critical. At one point, these were developed as protection, but often in adulthood, these are narratives that hinder bravery and agency. Its a wonderful thing that our brain has protected us since childhood. Yet if we shift these narratives and take on new ones that reflect our inner strength, love, and character we can open up doors we had never imagined.
Individuals pursuing a sport
...in a new phase of their athletic career, with a new goal, or for the first time. Pursuing a sport can be exhilarating and life-enhancing. Maintaining confidence, calm, and focus can be challenging over time. That challenge grows with the blur of media and self-comparison that arises in our content-heavy environment. Our work will involve visualization and mapping out systems that allow you easier access to mental strengths that are unique to you.
Individuals seeking a more mindful life
With the enormous problems humans face today, such as climate change, global conflict, and political division, combined with a constant bombardment of frightening information, it can be challenging to move forward. This sense of paralyzing doom and anxiety can be quelled and re-directed to affect change locally leading to a shift in energy. This shift requires a deep attunement to yourself and the present moment. Coaching will involve a co-creation of strengths and value systems to move forward with courage and agency.
People who want to disengage from social media
Social media can cloud our sense of strength and identity. In taking a structured break from social media, although challenging, you can work to reconstruct your deeper value systems and see through the lights, noise, and fog more clearly. People sometimes need social media for work or other reasons. This coaching is personalized to those needs, but the goal is to shift your relationship to yourself and social media.
Individuals with ADHD
...who want to be more effective in the world and relationships. Much of modern life is made up of pings and notifications that might incite alarm, stress, or excitement. Regardless of what emotion these distractions incite, they make it challenging for all of us to focus. With these many distractions and a more sedentary lifestyle, people who are neurodivergent and ADHD can be taking on a greater challenge. Our work will involve mapping out the specific and creative ways that your brain works and developing unique systems that work for you, which will allow you to show up more fully at work, in life, and in relationship.
